    6/x = 25/100

    25x = 6 (100)

    25x = 600

    25x/25 = 600/25

    x = 24

    There are 24 students in the class.

    We know 25% is 1/4 of the class. So if there are 6 girls, that means there are 4 x 6 people in the class. There are a total of 24 students in the class.
