Using only the values given in the table for the function, f (x) = x3 - 3x - 2, what is the interval of x-values over which the function is decreasing

    so imma use derivitives

    take derivitive

    f' (x) = 3x²-3

    zeroes at x=-1 and 1

    the derivitive is positive to the left of - 1 and to the right of 1

    the derivitive is negative in between - 1 and 1

    the function is decreasing in the interval (-1,1)
