Kyle's recent test scores were 92, 78, 89, 96, 91, and 88. If Kyle wants to raise his average grade to a 90%, what is the lowest score Kyle could get in his next test?

I'm so confused on this problem.

Let this "lowest score" be x. Then, find the mean of 92, 78, 89, 96, 91, and 88, plus x. Here you have 7 numbers. Add them up, including "+x" at the end, and then divide the resulting sum by 7 (the count of numbers whose mean you want).
