    9.4 meters of wood will be needed to go around the perimeter of the sandbox

    Solution:

    Given that,

    A sandbox measures 2.8 meters by 1.9 meters

    We have to find the perimeter of sand box

    Sand box is usually of rectangular shape

    The perimeter of rectangle is given as:

    Perimeter = 2 (length + width)

    From given,

    Length = 2.8 meters

    Width = 1.9 meters

    Therefore,

    Perimeter = 2 (2.8 + 1.9)

    Perimeter = 2 (4.7)

    Perimeter = 9.4

    Thus 9.4 meters of wood will be needed to go around the perimeter of the sandbox
