Jade used Fraction 3 over 4 yard of fabric to make a scarf. Can she make 2 of these scarves with Fraction 1 and 4 over 5 yards of fabric, and why

    3/4 = 15/20

    1 4/5 = 1 16/20.

    2 x 15/20 = 30/20 = 1 10/20

    So, yes, she can, because if we equate denominators it's easier to find the answer, we need 1 10/20 yard of fabric and we have 1 16/20. It still remains 6/20 yard of fabric
