    1. d (4) (4) = 16d

    Step-by-step explanation:

    let d be the distance

    Number of non rainy days in week is (5-1) = 4

    Number of weeks = 4

    in a week a student travels 4d

    in 4 weeks a student travels 4*4*d = 4 (4) (d) = 16d
