Multi-step: At the butcher shop, Jason bought 2.4 pounds of ground beef for $5.20 per pound. He bought 3.2 pounds of ground turkey for $2.90 per pound. How much more did Jason spend on beef than on turkey?

    Jason spent 12.48 on ground beef and 9.28 on ground turkey so Jason spent 3.20 more on ground beef than the turkey I think

    2 lb = $5.20*2

    2 lb = $10.4

    .4 lb = $5.20 * 0.4

    .4 lb = $2.08

    beef total $10.04+$2.08=$12.48

    Turkey

    3 lb=$2.9*3

    3 lb = $8.7

    .2 lb = $2.9*0.2

    .2 lb = $0.58

    Turkey total $8.7+$0.58=$9.28

    difference $12.48-$9.28=$3.2

    Jason spent $3.2 more on beef then turkey
