Is the ordered pair (-2,9) as a solution of the equation y=x-7

    Hi there! To answer that question, no. - 2 is the x value and 9 is the y value. When you plug them in, - 2 - 7 is - 9, not positive 9. So no. The order pair (-2, 9) is not a solution to the equation of y = x - 7.
