Chocolate candy bars cost $2.00 each. If sales tax is 9%, what is the final price of three candy bars?

    That would mean you have to add 9% of 2.00 which is 9x2 which is 18. Next you move decimal 2 places to the right. That would be 0.18. Then you add 18 cents to the 2 dollars and with sales tax, the chocolate candy cost $2.18
