The scale factor for two similar rectangles is 3. If the area of the smaller one is 8m^2, what is the area of the larger rectangle

    A=lw

    bigger one is

    A' = (3l) (3W) or

    A'=9lw

    so the bigger one is 9 time of smaller

    8*9=72

    larger is 72m^2
