Mr rawlings has 60 cookies he wants to give each of his 16 grandchildren the same number of cookies. what is the greatest number of whole cookies he can give to each child? after he gives his grandchildren their cookies, how many cookies will he have left?

    He can give maximum of 3 cookies to 16 of his grandchildren

    60/16 = 3.75

    Therefore 3 cookies per grandchild

    3*16 = 48 (Shows how many cookies he gives away)

    60-48 = 12

    He will have 12 cookies left
