Well in order to answer this we need to write out the proportions. So the pole is X meters tall but casts a shadow 37 meters long while the statue is 33 cm tall and casts a shadow 83 cm long. So we now proportionate the two heights and the two shadows and we get / frac{x}{33} = / frac{37}{83}. Then we cross multiply and get 83x = 1221and then simplify by dividing 83 from both sides and get x ≈ 14.71m.
