    -1 is the answer.

    (Distribute 3 through the parenthesis and then distribute-2 through the parenthesis)

    3x+3 = + 2x+2-4

    (Move the variable to the left side and change its sign and then move the constant to the right side and change its sign)

    3x+2x = - 2-3

    (Collect the like and then calculate the sum or difference)

    5x = - 1

    (Divide both sides of the equation by 5)

    x = - 1

    3x + 3 = - 2x + 2 - 4

    3x + 3 = - 2x - 2

    Add 2 to each side

    3x + 5 = - 2x

    Subtract - 3x from both sides

    5 = - 5x

    Divide each side by 5

    1 = - x

    Since you can leave x negative you reverse it with 1 and your answer will be >>> x = - 1
