    Use the Pythagorean Theorem which is a^2+b^2=c^2. So in your case, it would be 3 1/2^2+3 1/2^2 = 6^2. Which then translates into 12.25+12.25=36. This would then simplify to 24.5=36. So no, the triangle can not have sides with the given lengths
