    Set up the equations:

    two numbers: a and b

    sum: a+b=21

    quotient: a/b=2

    (the last one means b=a/2)

    combine them:

    a+a/2=3a/2=21

    a=14

    and so

    b=7

    the two numbers are 14 and 7
