The store with $37.98 for two gallons is less expensive.

11.52$ can be saved by buying from shop with $37.98 for two gallons

    Step-by-step explanation:

You need 12 gallons of paint to paint the exterior of your house.

    Paint required = 12 gallons.

At one store the paint sells for $19.95 a gallon. At a second store the same brand of paint sells for $37.98 for two gallons.

Price of paint in shop 1 = 19.95$ per gallon.

    Price of paint in shop 2 = 37.98$ per 2 gallons. = 18.99 $ per gallon.

So the store with $37.98 for two gallons is less expensive.

    Money required if we are buying from shop 1 = 12 x 19.95 = 239.4$

    Money required if we are buying from shop 2 = 12 x 18.99 = 227.88$

    Savings if we buy from shop 2 = 239.4 - 227.88 = 11.52$

    11.52$ can be saved.
