Jeremy is 4 years older than 2 times the age of his cousin. At the same time, Jeremy is 20 years younger than 4 times the age of his cousin. Whats are the ages of Jeremy and his cousin?

    J = 4 + 2c;

    j = 4c - 20;

    => 4 + 2c = 4c - 20 = > 4 = 4c - 2c - 20 = > 4 = 2c - 20 = > 20 + 4 = 2c = > 24 = 2c = > c = 24 / 2 = > c = 12 years (the age of his cousin);

    j = 4 + 2 * 12 = > j = 4 + 24 = > j = 28 years (tha age of Jeremy)
