A rectangle has width 12 inches and length 16 inches. the width of the rectangle is decreased by 25% and its length is increased by 25%. how does the area change & by how much?

    Originally 12 x 16 = 216 inches

    Now it’s 9 x 20 = 180 inches

    The total area decreases by 36 inches.
