U would carry the decimal by the numbers behind it the rest is simple multipication

You multiply the numbers together. Then you get the answer. However many decimals (23.7), you move the decimal over one place from the right. If you have more that one decimal, then you had the decimals together then, you move however many decimals from the right over.
