A farmer grows two types of grains in his field. He has a seed burger of 18,000.00 and has spent 8,100.00 to plant wheat seeds so far. If barley seed costs 47.00 per acre to plant what is the maximum number of acres of barley the farmer can plant and still be under budget?

    So he has a budget of 18,000 and has spent 8,100 so far which means he still has 9,900 left to spend. If we divide 9,900 by 47 we get 210 acres of seed that he can still buy. He would have $30 left over (which isn't enough to by another acre.
