If y is proportional to x and y = - 15 when x = - 20. what is the value of x and y?

    y = - 15 when x = - 20

    Basically, you must solve for the constant of variation.

    y = kx

    -15 = k (-20)

    20/15 = k

    k = 1.3 repeating 3
