What single decimal multiplier would you use to decrease by 14% followed by a 9% decrease?

    First assume that you have 100% before you decrease.

    When you apply the first decrease you have 86% left (100% - 14% (100%)).

    The 9% additional decrease is when it becomes difficult. But we can still use the same strategy as before.

    86% - 9% (86%) = 78.26%

    Answer: 78.26%
