If two lines intersect and one angle measures 35°, what are the measures of the other angles?

    When 2 lines intersect, the angles formed are 2 pairs of congruent vertical angles (see ilustration below) so the measures of the angles next to each other are supplementary (x+y180 and x and y are positive) so

    45+x=180 s

    subtract 45 from both sides

    x=135

    the angles are 45 and 135

    in the illustration, 1=2 and 3=4
