Which is equivalent to 6x - 8y?

-2 (-3x + 4y) or 2 (3x + 4y)

    The first one, because - 2 multiply - 3 you get a positive 6, and - 2 multiply + 4 you get a negative 8

    the second one is wrong because the product of 2 and 4 is a positive 8
