If t (n) equals 3+2n, what is the 5th term?

If X+y=6 find the value of y when X=-2

    1) plug 5 for n

    t (5) = 3 + 2 * 5

    t (5) = 3 + 10 = 13

    2) plug - 2 for x

    -2 + y = 6

    Isolate y

    y = 8
