Temperature measurements are converted between degrees Fahrenheit (F) and degrees Celsius (C) by the following formula.

The temperature in Dallas rose from the morning temperature of 46°F to the afternoon high of 72°F. What was the difference in temperature in degrees Celsius, to the nearest degree?

    (°F - 32) * 5/9 = °C

    (46°F - 32) * 5/9 = 7.778°C which is about 8°C

    (72°F - 32) * 5/9 = 22.222°C which is about 22°C
