    100 miles

    Step-by-step explanation:

    lets find out how much the yellow bus drove before red bus started

    40*0.5=20

    20 miles

    50x=40x+20

    10x=20

    x=2

    they traveled for two hours until red bus caught up with yellow bus

    yellow:

    2*40+20=80+20=100 miles

    red:

    2*50=100 miles
