    4/15 + (1*5) / (3*5)

    4/15+5/15

    9/15 divide by 3

    The easiest way is to make sure the fractions have the same denominators and are improper fractions. So another way to write it is : 4/15 + 5/15. Then you can add the numerators together making the numerator 9. The denominator will stay the same.
