    0.8 litres

    Step-by-step explanation:

The question above is trying to explain that Nolan has a certain objective to drink a certain amount of water each day (most of us do this kind of thing for health reasons to be completely honest), in his case 2 liters, and after he had lunch, he had already taken 0.6 of his goal.

Then how much water (in litres) is left for him to take to reach his goal.

From here, Nolan after taking his lunch drank water and with that he had already achieved 0.6 of his goal.

Here, his goal is 1, but he already has achieved 0.6

The remaining fraction of his goal will be

    1 - 0.6 = 0.4

0.4 of 1 is what is left for him which he will probably take when dinner comes by

So therefore, the amount of water left for him to drink will be

    0.4/1 * 2 = 0.8 litres

Remember that he had already achieved 0.6 of his goal so if you want to know the quantity of water he took, them subtract 0.8 from 2 and you will get 1.2 litres

    Answer: 0.8L

    Step-by-step explanation:

Nolan drinks 2L of water everyday.

If he has drank 0.6 (6/10) of his goal during lunch,

    (6/10) * 2L = 1.2 L

He has drank 1.2L of water now and he has

    2L - 1.2L = 0.8L left to drink.
