The base of pyramid A is a rectangle with a length of 10 meters and a width of 20 meters. The base of pyramid B is a square with 10-meter sides. The heights of the pyramids are the same. Is the volume of pyramid A equal to, half, twice, or 3 times larger the volume of B

    Pyramid A and Pyramid B have the same height right?

    so we'll pretend that the height is 27

    For pyramid A the volume is 1/3 x (l x w) x h

    or 1/3 x (10 x 20) x 27 = 1800

    For pyramid B,

    1/3 x (10 x 10) x 27 = 900

    1800 : 900 = 2

    Therefore, Pyramid A is twice the size of Pyramid B
