Step 1: Let x represent the hours it will take to be at - 5 degrees.

    Step 2: Create the equation, 7-6x = - 5

Step 3: Solve it. You will get x=2

Step 4: That means after 2 hours it will be - 5 degrees, which means at 5:00 it will be - 5 degrees.
