    x + 4 (x + 1) = 29

    x + 4x + 4 = 29

    5x + 4 = 29

    5x = 29 - 4

    5x = 25

    x = 25/5

    x = 5

    x+1 = 6

    Ansver: The two consecutive numbers are 5 and 6.

    Check:

    x + 4 (x+1) = 5 + 4 · 6 = 5+24 = 29 OK!
