Ind the area of an octagon with a radius of 6 meters. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.

    Area of an octagon:

    A = 2 a² (1 + √ 2)

    and a = r √ 2

    a = 6 √ 2

    A = 2 * (6 √2) ² * (1 + √ 2) =

    = 2 * 72 (1 + √ 2) =

    = 144 * (1 + √ 2) m² = 144 + 144 √2 ≈ 347.65 m²
