If a grocer mixed 5 lbs of noodles costing 80 cents per pound and 2 lbs of noodles costing $1.50 per pound, what should the price of the mixture be?

    Well, how I would solve this problem would be something like this. 0.80 times 5 is 4 and then 1.50 times 2 is 3 so then the equation would look like this.

    .80 (5) + 1.50 (2) = $?

    4 + 3

    =$7
