Banners at the school store were on sale for $2 off the regular price. Claude bought 6 banners on sale and paid a total of $18. Write and solve an equation to find the regular price of one banner

    6 Banners = $18

    1 Banner = 18 / 6

    1 Banner = $ 3

    If $2 is off on original then Original price will be $3+$2 = $5

    Regular price of banner $5

    divide both sides by 6 to find how much one banner would cost

    1 = $3

    $3 + the $2 off
