    2x (x-3) - 3x (4x-1)

First I like to change subtraction to addition of the opposite.

    2x (x + - 3) + - 3x (4x + - 1)

    Now distribute

    2x^2 + - 6x + - 12^2 + 3x

    Now combine everything

    -10x^2 - 3x
