A cell phone company charges a monthly fee plus $0.25 for each text message the monthly fee is $30.00 and you owe $59.50 how many text message did I you have? how we write that in equation

    59.50=30+.25x

    And then solve for x.

    59.5-30=.25x

    29.5=.25x

    (29.5/.25) = x

    So x=118, or 118 text messages.
