X = - 1/3 Because the perpendicular lines always have a opposite reciprocal meaning if a slope is Positive it turns negative and the denominator becomes the numerator ex. 3 is the same as 3/1 and the opposite of that would be 1/3 and if the slope is negative then the opposite reciprocal will be positive and with the denominator becoming the numerator
