Kaitlin purchased a prepaid phone card for $30. Long distance calls cost 14 cents a minute using this card. Kaitlin used her card only once to make a long distance call. If the remaining credit on her card is $27.90, how many minutes did her call last?

    Subtract to find out how much she spent:

    30 - 27.90 = 2.10

    Divide that by the cost per minute:

    2.10 / 0.14 = 15

    The call was 15 minutes.
