    Step-by-step explanation:

The box is in the shape of a cuboid.

The top and bottom of the box is 8in by 3in. The area of the top and the bottom of the box would be

    2 * 8 * 3 = 48 square inches.

The sides are both 3in by 2in. The area of the two opposite sides of the box would be

    2 * 3 * 2 = 12 square inches.

The front and back are 8in by 2in. The area of the front and back would be

    2 * 8 * 2 = 32 square inches.

The amount of wrapping paper that Chloe needs to wrap the present would be

    48 + 12 + 32 = 92 square inches

    92 sq. inches

    Step-by-step explanation:

Total paper required = total surface area

    Surface area of a cuboid = 2[ (l*b) + (l*h) + (b*h) ],

Where 'l' is the length, 'b' is the breadth and 'h' is the height

    For the box, total surface area = 2[ (8*3) + (3*2) + (8*2) ]

    =2[24 + 6 + 16]

    =2[46]

    = 92 sq. inches
