    Tim = 12

    Jack 1st = 12 - (12 x 0.30)

    second year

    Jim = 1 + x

    Jack = x

    12 - (12 x 0.30) =

    12 - 3.6 = 8.4

    Jack = $8.4 per hour

    Tim = 8.4 + 1

    Tim = $9.4 per hour
