The population of Vietnam is approximately 4 times the population of Australia. The population of Brazil is approximately 8 times the population of Australia. The population of Australia is approximately 5 times the population of New Zealand. About how many times larger than the population of New Zealand is population of Vietnam?

    First, I change the contries to variables

    Vietnam - v

    Australia - a

    brazil - b

    new Zealand - n

    v=4a

    b=8a

    a=5n

    brazil is not needed

    plug in 5n for a

    v=4 (5n)

    v=20n

    Vietnam would actually be larger if it takes 20 new zealands for 1 vietnam
