Paulina got 9 3/8 pounds of cherries from her trees this year. Last year she only got 6 1/4 pounds. How many times more pounds did she get this year than last year?

    3 1/8 is your answer, all you have to do is find a common denominator (8) and 1/4 is 2/8. then subtract.
