The area of a trapezoid is 276 cm2. the sum of its bases is 46 cm. each slanted side measures 13 cm. what is the height?

    For the answer to the question above, t he area of a parallelogram is equal to one-half the height times the sum of the bases. We already know the area (276) and the sum of the bases (46). So make an equation and then add in what we know:

    A = (½H) * (Sum of the bases)

    276 = (½H) * 46 divide each side by 46

    6 = ½H then multiply each side by 2

    12 = H

    So the answer is

    12cm.
