Can someone at least explain this?

A sample of 80 high school seniors, 45% of which are female, were surveyed as to whether or not they are employed outside of school. 25% of the boys surveyed said they are not employed. How many boys are employed?

    First you must find how many boys there are if 45% are female. 55% must be male out of 80 people. 80 * 0.55 = 44 boys. If 25% of these 44 are unemployed 75% must be employed and 0.75 * 44 = 33 (Final Answer).
