    P (x) = x^2 - 1

    q (x) = 5 (x - 1)

    q (x) = 5 (x - 1)

    q (x) = 5 (x) - 5 (1)

    q (x) = 5x - 5

    (p - q) (x) = (x^2 - 1) - (5x - 5)

    (p - q) (x) = x^2 - 5x + 4
