Gabriel gave the clerk a $5 bill to pay for a half gallon of milk that cost $1.06 and a box of cereal that cost $2.39. How much money should he get back?

    He has $5.

    2.39 + 1.06 = $3.45

    5 - 3.45 = $1.55

    He should get $1.55 back
