Hello! Meredith has 3/4 of a book left to read and she chooses to read 1/8 of the book until finished. 3/4 = 6/8. 8/8 - 6/8 = 2/8. Meredith has already read 2/8 or 1/4 of the book. To find out how many days it will take her to finish reading the book, let’s divide how much is remaining by 1/8. To divide fractions, keep the first fraction the same, change division into multiplication, and flip the second fraction over. 3/4 * 8/1 is 24/4 or simply 6. There. It will take Meredith 6 days to finish the book.
