The answer is = 7x
you do the ones in the parentheses first - (6) - (2 (x+3))
so distribute parentheses then use apply minus-plus rules to get
-6+2 (x+3) then add the 5x to it 5x-6+2 (x+3) then you expand it so do
2 (x+3) and then use distribute parentheses to make 2x+2*3 then multiple the numbers 2*3=6
then put it all together 5x-6+2x+6 and solve first group/combine like terms
5x+2x=7x then do 7x-6+6 = 0 the 6 plus a - 6 to make 0 so the answer is 7x
