    5 Goats.

    Step-by-step explanation:

Laura has 15 Pygmy goats and 35 dairy goats. When she goes to the county fair she needs to put them in pens with no two types of goats sharing a pen. She also needs the same number of goats in each pen.

Therefore, Laura has to put an equal number of goats in each pen and the number is the common factor of 15 and 35.

    Now, factors of 15 are 1, 3, 5, 15 and the factors of 35 are 1, 5, 7, 35.

Therefore, the common factor is 5 and Laura has to put 5 goats in each pen. (Answer)
